9/23/98 11:58 am bones at U Hampton feeding station |
||
We found these tiny little bones scattered over the top of a rock outcrop above Upper Hampton lake. The bone near the crack in the rock is a rodent jawbone. We surmised that this was a feeding station for hawks, though nobody was using it when we walked up. The rocks were white with guano. Across the canyon, on the cliffs, a group of flickers piped and made sorties into the valley. |
