URLs:
http://www.MyMusicFolders.com
2003
Client: JR Associates, Importers
Designer: Tim Van Buren
A simple ecommerce application using the Miva Merchant shopping cart.
The site sells choir music folders. I designed and built the site and
configured Miva merchant to handle the complex embossing options and volume
discounts scheme that this client required. I also performed the search
engine optimization and submission for this site. The client is very pleased
with the results.

2002
Client: Staves Consulting
Designer: Tim Van Buren
Mr. Staves, a 30 yr veteran of the campground industry, retained me to
build a site that would grow his consulting practice. He now complains
to me every time I see him that I have made him too busy. This site has
top rankings for its keywords. This was the first site that I built using
pure Cascading Style Sheets for layout. 10% of visitors to the site sign
up to receive emails from Mr. Staves.
http://www.PreciousImports.com
2003
Client: Precious Imports - interesting jewelry imported from Brazil
Designer: Tim Van Buren
The client contacted me asking me to make it look a little nicer. I ended
up doing a complete overhaul of this site. The HTML was terrible, with
tables nested 8 deep. I redesigned the homepage with some fancy dhtml/CSS
work. I also optimized almost all of the images on the site.
http://www.Send-Flowers-Cheap.net
2003
Client: North Fork Media
Designer: template provided by Growers Flowers
This site is an affiliate site of GrowersFlowers.com. I set it up as an
experiment to see if I could generate search engine traffic and sales
in a very competitive keyword market. I have achieved moderate success.
http://www.WildlifeAdventuresInc.com
2000
Client: Ric Ellingson Design
Designer: Tim Van Buren
This site is a hunting guide/outfitter's brochureware. It is used to give
information to hunters and get leads. I was given a sketch of the front
page and asked to use the mountains and a compass motif.
E-CAPS.com
2000
Designer-Snowdog Web Development
Managed development of new areas of the site. Managed day to day operations
of Web business and site maintenance. Performed keyword analysis, submitted
site to search engines. Web traffic increased threefold. Web sales accounted
for 30% of total sales. I produced most of the pages in the “On-Call”
section. This involved editing and cleaning up Word documents and reformatting
the contents to lay nicely in HTML. Site has since been redesigned.
Spiveyscience.org
(local copy)
Client-Elizabeth Spivey; Designer-Tim Van Buren
Personal identity site and teaching aid. Client also used the site to
try to obtain a position in a new school district. Determined scope and
objectives of project. Used custom Dreamweaver templates to speed production.
Minimalist design to work with minimal content.
geekmasters.com
(local copy)
Client-Geekmasters; Designer-Tim Van Buren
I made the interface for this division of CyberConcepts.
The linkbar on the left side is built so that the graphic expands downward
depending on the length of the page. The linkbox images are dynamically
generated by a gdlib script as was the IP number in the header graphic.
I am not responsible for the content of the pages, but it's cool in that
it's being inserted by use of a #include so it can be totally dynamic
and database driven.
www.kalispell.com
Client–City of Kalispell; Designer–SnowDog
Web Development
I participated in the production of this site using Information Architecture,
HTML, Javascript, graphics and PC tech skills. I used information architecture
techniques to make sure that content was presented in accordance with
the sites goal of easy access by council members and the public. I set
up Email accounts on the city department heads' PC's in order to facilitate
internal and external communication.
www.digisys.net/firstnight
Client–First Night Flathead; Designer–Tim Van Buren
No longer being maintained...this was my first site.
Produced award winning Web site. Used CSS to create a clean looking text
navbar. Hand coded all HTML. Secured donated server space. Created site
layout and used templates to speed production.
